S30 cruising square metre boat Kauri

This S30 with construction and sail number 22 is remarkable in two respects: Kauri is in good condition with a mint interior crafted by the Wegener boatyard and a renewed engine with Lake Constance permission (high environmental and exhaust standard). Secondly, the boat comes with a 2 m longer carbon rig, power winches and new sails. It is ideally suited for single-handed sailing or for two.

Everything has already been done here that the experienced and demanding sailor plans to upgrade today. The light-wind characteristics have been optimised with a two-metre longer carbon mast for runner-free handling. Add to that the painted superstructure, teak deck and hull in elegant dark blue.

Thanks to its 2.50 m beam, you can trailer the boat to nice European destinations, other lakes, the Baltic Sea or the Mediterranean.

The S30 is a robust and durable Swedish quality manufacture. It was built ground-safe for the archipelago with plenty of rocks. Click here for more details on this type of boat.

Thanks to the shaft drive, there is no need for the annoying and expensive regular replacement of the saildrive seal (seven year intervals). A sporty, elegant boat with a comfortable and safe centre cockpit, headroom in the companionway, two berths in the foredeck, two in the saloon, two in the aft cabin. Ideal for a couple with occasional guests or the family. Children love having their own kingdom aft.

The mast stands on the cabin roof. This makes setting and laying the spar easy. Further this design saves the usual leakage at the mast through rain and condensation around the notoriously leaky mast sleeve.

Interior Kauri

Finished in natural oiled teak with solid wood lipping. As can be seen in the photos, the surfaces are in excellent, almost mint condition with no significant signs of use. The yacht was overhauled a few years ago by the Wegener yard near Hamburg for 50 thousand €. In the process, the design of the cabin interior was stylishly retained.
